On 24 May 2015 a group of our volunteers was able to open another public library in the village “Nho Lam” in the province Hung Yen (40 km from Hanoi).
Most residents of the village work in agriculture and have a very low monthly income. There is a primary school and a middle school.
The joy of the villagers – specially the joy of the children – about the opening of the public library was great.
Full of anticipation of the opening day was expected. The interest in the available books is high.
Our project assistants equipped the new library with about 600 books. Some guests of the opening ceremony donated more books.
The atmosphere on the opening day was cheerful and joyful. The village chief thanked our project assistants for their voluntary work.
There were various speeches and all participant sang some songs together.
We thank all donors, whose support enabled our organization to open our seventh public library in Vietnam.
